Gluten Free Black Bean Naked Oat and Sweet Potato Burger Recipe
This gluten free black bean naked oat and sweet potato burger recipe is sure to become an instant favorite. This fresh and hearty burger is packed with protein, fiber and nutrients that your body will thank you for.
Ingredients
1Egg (or 1 tablespoon ground flax seed and water 3 tablespoons water for a vegan burger)
1cupMashed sweet potato (typically 1 large sweet potato is perfect)
* If you are making a vegan burger mix fax and water in small bowl. Set aside until it gels together.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and combine thoroughly with a potato masher (or combine ingredients in a food processor for a smoother texture.)
Form mixture into 6 patties, place on cookie sheet using parchment paper. Put patties in the fridge for 30.
Add a thin layer of oil to the bottom of a large skillet using medium high heat.
Once the skillet starts to sizzle, add the patties. Cook on one side until exterior is crispy, typically this takes 5-7 minutes.
Carefully flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
