Preheat over to 450⁰ F (230⁰ C)
In a medium sized bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients.
Add the buttermilk and mix until a moist dough forms.
Melt butter in a microwave safe container, then pour it into a 9x9 pan.
Spoon dough into the pan on top of the butter. Use a spatula to spread it evenly - it should touch all four sides of the pan.
Cut the unbaked dough into 9 relatively even squares - the dough should be swimming in butter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes - until golden brown.
