 1 Egg (or 1 tablespoon ground flax seed and water 3 tablespoons water for a vegan burger)
 1 cup Mashed sweet potato (typically 1 large sweet potato is perfect)
 15 oz Black beans drained and rinsed (1 small can)
 ¼ cup Loosely chopped cilantro
 ½ tsp Oregano
 ¼ tsp Salt
 1 Medium sized garlic clove
 ½ tsp Ground cumin
 1 tbsp Lime juice
 1 tsp Chili powder

* If you are making a vegan burger mix fax and water in small bowl. Set aside until it gels together.

Place all ingredients in a bowl and combine thoroughly with a potato masher (or combine ingredients in a food processor for a smoother texture.)

Form mixture into 6 patties, place on cookie sheet using parchment paper. Put patties in the fridge for 30.

Add a thin layer of oil to the bottom of a large skillet using medium high heat.

Once the skillet starts to sizzle, add the patties. Cook on one side until exterior is crispy, typically this takes 5-7 minutes.

Carefully flip the patties and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
